Let us make a little buzz for your business. If there is one myth we love busting at Electric Buzz, it is the idea that pay-per-click advertising only works for certain kinds of businesses. You have probably heard some version of it. Maybe someone told you PPC is great for e-commerce, but would never work in your industry. Maybe you have worried that your product is too niche and that nobody is searching for it anyway.

We are a hive full of buzzy bees who have managed paid campaigns across wildly different industries, and the data tells a very different story. The thread connecting a pet-product brand, a drone company, and a legal services firm is not the product at all. It is the approach. Good PPC management means sharp targeting, relentless optimization, and a willingness to cut what is not working, and that moves the needle no matter what you sell.

Below, we are pulling back the curtain on real results from seven of our accounts across seven different industries. There is no cherry-picking and no fairy dust here, just the numbers.

The Metric That Matters Most Is Cost Per Conversion

Before we get to the results, let us make one thing clear, because it is the whole point.

The number we are reporting is cost per conversion, which is how much you spend in ad budget to earn one meaningful action. That action might be a purchase, a form fill, a phone call, or a booked consultation. With this metric, lower is better. A drop in cost per conversion means you are getting the same results for less money, or more results for the same money.

So when you see a 94 percent reduction below, it means that the client went from spending a certain amount per lead to spending a tiny fraction of it. That is budget is freed up either to pocket the savings or to pour straight back into growth.

We are spelling this out up front because too many agencies throw around big percentages without ever telling you what they measured. We would rather you understand exactly what you are looking at.

Seven Industries, One Approach

Here is what the cost per conversion looked like at the start of each engagement compared with the most recent month we measured. Every figure below comes from a real account we manage. We are keeping client names private out of respect for our partners, but the industries are exactly as they are.

Industry Engagement window Cost per conversion at start Cost per conversion now Reduction
Game court construction and resurfacing Aug 2024 to Feb 2026 $1,034.98 $57.24 94 percent
Legal, court reporting, and litigation support Jan 2025 to Feb 2026 $646.07 $22.34 97 percent
Wireless monitoring solutions Oct 2025 to Feb 2026 $2,196.13 $294.40 87 percent
Electronics and metals recycling Jan 2025 to Feb 2026 $40.30 $5.00 88 percent
Pet products Apr 2024 to May 2025 $265.12 $45.78 83 percent
Legal, ancillary legal services Nov 2024 to Feb 2026 $64.34 $29.34 54 percent
Drones Q2 2024 to Q1 2026 $206.64 $135.45 34 percent

Across these seven accounts, the average reduction in cost per conversion was roughly 77 percent.

You will notice the engagement windows vary quite a bit. Some clients have been with us only a few months, while others have been with us well over a year. That is because PPC is not a magic switch. It is a process of testing, learning, and compounding small wins into big ones, and we say more about that timeline further down.

Why the Same Playbook Works Across Such Different Industries

Look at that table again. A five-dollar cost per conversion in recycling sits right next to a fifty-seven-dollar cost per conversion in court construction. A pickleball court is not a deposition, which is not a dog-waste station, which is not a drone. So why does the same agency get results across all of them?

The answer is that the fundamentals of paid search do not change with the product.

  • Intent is universal. Whether someone is searching for electronics recycling near me, or a court reporter in Atlanta, or wireless power monitoring, they are raising their hand and telling you they want something. The superpower of PPC is putting your business in front of people at the exact moment they are searching, and every industry has that moment.
  • Waste exists in every account. When we audit a new account, we almost always find budget bleeding into the wrong keywords, the wrong audiences, the wrong times of day, and clicks that never had a chance of converting. Plugging those leaks works the same way in any field, and it is usually where the fastest gains come from.
  • Optimization compounds. Better ad copy lifts your click-through rate. Tighter targeting lifts your conversion rate. Smarter bidding lowers your cost per click. Stack those together and the cost per conversion falls in pet products and in legal services alike.
  • Niche is a feature rather than a bug. If you are worried your industry is too small, remember that niche often means less competition on the keywords that matter, which can mean cheaper clicks and warmer leads. Our wireless-monitoring and recycling results came from leaning into that specificity, not away from it.

Why We Are Showing You the Drone Numbers Too

You probably noticed the drone account improved by 34 percent while others fell by more than 90 percent. We left it on purpose.

Any agency promising that every single client gets a 95 percent improvement is selling you something. Different industries have different starting points, different levels of competition, and different conversion economics. A 34 percent reduction in cost per conversion is still a third of the budget recovered, which is a genuinely strong result. It simply is not a headline-grabbing one. Showing it to you is the honest thing to do, and honesty is more or less our whole brand.

What we can promise is the approach. We treat your budget like our own, we optimize relentlessly, and we tell you the truth about what is working.

How We Actually Do It

For every account in that table, the process looked roughly the same.

  • We audit your existing ad accounts to find what is working and what is quietly draining your budget.
  • We meet for a free consultation to align on goals and set realistic expectations.
  • We build, launch, and optimize, and you typically start seeing movement in clicks within days, with cost-per-conversion gains compounding over the following weeks and months.

There are no long-term contracts, no minimum spend, and no start-up fees. It is simply a month-to-month service from a team that is genuinely invested in your results.

Good PPC Works in Any Industry, and the Data Proves It

From pet products to law firms, drones to recycling, the data is clear. Good PPC works in any industry. The variable is not your niche. It is whether your campaigns are being managed by someone who actually sweats the details.
